About The Well
A hand-dug, brick-lined well is part of the landmarked Moseley Homestead (National Register of Historic Places) site. The well is located to the west of the main house and dates to around 1882, during Moseley’s settlement of the property. It produces water that has been known for being sweet and cool. Its location near the main trail to Tampa brought many travelers to the property and provided a welcome rest for caravans and military personnel heading to Fort Brooke and Fort Meade further inland
