About The Lazarette
The lazarette structure was added onto the kitchen/Cup and Bucket Inn area and connects to the kitchen through an interior passageway or can be accessed via the hall or the door at the back of the structure. This latticed addition likely got its nautical name from Hallock Moseley, who served in the Navy and Merchant Marines. The name refers to a storage locker or equipment store area that a sailor would use to stow gear on a sailing vessel.
