Mapping the Moseley Homestead
Digital survey and documentation were directed in 2020- 2024 by Principal Investigators Lori Collins, Ph.D., RPA, and Travis Doering, Ph.D., who were then with the Center for Digital Heritage and Geospatial Information at the University of South Florida. Their team of digital heritage specialists used a combination of survey techniques to map the entire present-day Moseley Homestead. A drone-based survey was conducted to produce detailed elevation models of the site. Global Positioning Systems were used to map trails, features, and other locations of historical note. Aerial LiDAR and 3D data were captured to support ongoing research and site management needs.
